MESSAGE FROM AN UNEMPLOYED ARCHITECT
The youngsters are not finding jobs or not able to stand on their own, even in a country when not even 5% of the buildings are designed by professionals. Civil engineers were like this few years ago, when most of them found it difficult to find jobs, now it is better. There is no point in blaming the system or running away from the problem. Where did it go wrong? What can be done to raise the standards of the profession? How can it be made right? What are the senior members of the profession doing about this? What are the professional associations doing about this? I think any of the steps should not stop with a Facebook posting nor a Seminar. I hope a dialogue is required where everybody participates.
