I am extremely happy that the honourable President of India inaugurated the I phase of Muziris Project yesterday in Muziris Research Centre in KKTM College Campus, a building which has been designed by me.
Unfortunately, I was not able to participate in the inaugural function because of the change in dates since I was having some meetings in Paris on 28th February. On 29th February onwards I am in Prague in connection with a Project I am doing. There is no way I could have participated in the inaugural function or I could have postponed my trip.
Many people were calling me for the last few days regarding the inauguration of the Muziris Heritage Project - some wanted to congratulate, some wanted to know when I am coming, some for getting passes and few others were telling some complaints. Sorry once again for not picking up the calls from my friends because of the last minute tensions in connection with the project.
I will have to spend the next few months working on the Prague project and will be back in action soon. It is a lot more to be done for the completion of the first phase of the Muziris Project before it is open to public as a project of higher standards as we dreamt. I am sure with everybody's support we will fulfil our task.
I wanted to invite many of my friends for the inaugural function, but could not do so. The time was also short when the final dates were announced. But I would like to thank all the people who have supported me in this project. It was Dr Thomas Issac who asked me to do this project. But at critical times, many including former Chief Secretary Bharath Bhushan, Sri VD Satheesan and TN Prathapan both MLAs from the area, Jose Dominic of CGH Earth Group, Mr Jeejo John Puthezhathu and many others have contributed to the project, The fact that their names are not mentioned does not lessen the importance of the contributions they made to the project.
