Paravur Synagogue

The Paravur synagogue was built in 1615, but is said to have been built over the remains of the older synagogue , built in 1165. The Paruvur synagogue was in a state of depletion. When the project was taken up, it was restored and converted into a museum that talks about the Jews and their history in Kerala. The original Ark, which was taken to Israel when the last of the Jews left the place, has been replicated.
