The article that appeared in the Malayalam magazine Fast Track is a travelogue on various sites of Muziris with Malayalam actor Asif Ali.
Here the actor travelled with a German Porsche from Kochi, to the centre of old Muziris which is now known as the city The Romans, who crossed the Mediterranean Sea and came to trade with gold, crossed the valleys and set foot in the ancient port city of Muziris, starting a centuries-long trade relationship. The flood that occurred completely erased Muziris from history. The Muziris' plan is to shake and wake up the Muziris who fell asleep on the shoulders of time. Time moved on, leaving Periyar there.
The Porsche first ran to the shores of the Kodungallur backwater that divides Kerala in half. Asif recalled the event from his early Cherai years as he gently travelled the seaside route. He visited Cherai, Paliam Palace, Vypeekotta Seminary, Kodungallur-India's first Marthoma Church, and Cheraman Church—the first Muslim mosque, and the Paravur Jewish Syangogue. Meanwhile, Asif, who adores driving, was also learning about Kochi's birth for the first time.
